![]() ![]() ![]() Interestingly, the logo for the Martin Co. None of them are simply words on buildings (not that this was what was implied). But weren’t the logos in the comics always just nondescript “STARK” written on a sign and not “logos” per se? Is this what Lockheed Martin and Drummond looked like when they first appeared, too?ĮDIT: after some research, I found the 1960s-era logos for the various defense contractors that would eventually become Lockheed Martin and Northrop. If not, then I assume you meant that in the comics the Stark Industries logo of the 60s resembles contemporary real world analogues’ logos. If an older version of the logo has appeared - perhaps in Iron Man 2, CA:TFA, or either season of Agent Carter - did it resemble “other agencies of that era” in the same way that the 2008 logo resembles Lockheed-Martin, etc.? That would be an interesting comparison. Otherwise one could read your comment as pointing out that the authors of the MCU show us a Stark Industries logo c. When you say it appeared in 1963, I assume you mean that so long as Iron Man has been a thing in the comics, so has Stark Industries and its logo. ![]()
